ABOUT RANDALL

While studying biology at Central Michigan University, Randall Andrews simultaneously cultivated his loves of science and nature, and also of science fiction and fantasy literature. What began as nagging daydreams during his senior year gradually evolved and ultimately coalesced into The Last Guardian of Magic, his first novel. In 2010, The Last Guardian of Magic won the National Indie Excellence Award in Hollywood, California.

Among Randall's non-literary achievements are two times qualifying for the Phi Rho Pi intercollegiate speech and forensics nationals, an age division victory in the world's largest obstacle race series, Warrior Dash, and the taming of a small flock of Black-capped Chickadees, several Tufted Titmice, and two Downy Woodpeckers, who eat sunflower seeds from his bare hands.
